The Non-GMO Project (the “Project”) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. The Project’s website (nongmoproject.org) is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

We are always working to improve the accessibility of the Project’s website, it is an ongoing process of feedback and action to make the website as easy to use as possible. We acknowledge there are some limitations with the current website, some alt tags on images may be missing and seamless tab access is not fully realized. We also work to make the text size and colors easily legible as outlined by WCAG Level AA.

We work to support as many modern browsers as possible but for the best experience on the Project’s website, we recommend using Chrome, Firefox or Edge.
