The Non-GMO Project Verified mark can be found on Verified products sold in the US, Mexico and Canada. The verification mark indicates that the product is in compliance with the Non-GMO Project Standard, North America's most rigorous GMO avoidance certification.

Non-GMO Project mark For FSIS may appear on packages of single-ingredient Verified products sold in the US that require approval through the Food Safety Inspection Service, or FSIS (i.e., certain meat, poultry and egg products).

Unfortunately, "GMO free" claims are not legally or scientifically defensible due to the limits of testing methodology and the risk of GMO contamination of seeds, crops and ingredient supplies. The Non-GMO Project verification mark indicates that a product is in compliance with the rigorous Non-GMO Project Standard, North America’s only third party verification for products made according to best practices for GMO avoidance.
